Your translator profile
Your profile is the page other users see when they find you on the platform — for example when a project owner is choosing a translator. It presents your languages, translation experience, services, and subject-matter expertise. On your own profile, each section shows an edit link that opens an editing panel; visitors see the content without the links.
The profile header
Section titled “The profile header”The header shows your photo, name, professional identity line (for example “Freelance legal and medical translator”), your city and country, and the languages you know with their fluency levels.
Select edit in the header to change:
- your photo — upload any image file, or use Remove photo
- your Display Name
- Professional identity — a one-line description of what you do
- Native language
- Years of translation experience and Experience level
- Country and City
About me
Section titled “About me”A free-text introduction. It has two parts in the editor: a Headline (up to 180 characters) and the longer About Me text where you describe your experience and specialisations.
Language pairs
Section titled “Language pairs”Language pairs are the directional combinations you translate — for example English → Finnish. This is more specific than the flat language list in account settings: each pair carries its own details.
To add one, open edit on the Language Pairs section, pick a Source and Target language, and select Add pair. Expand a pair to fill in:
- the target writing level (how well you write the target language)
- Source comprehension — how well you understand the source language
- Native in the target language — shows a “native” tag on the pair
- Years on this pair
- Confidence — low, medium, high, or expert
Services
Section titled “Services”The services you offer, each with a self-reported level (beginner, working, strong, or expert):

Domain expertise
Section titled “Domain expertise”The subject areas you know — legal, medical, technical, and so on. For each domain you set a level (interest, working, specialist, or expert) and can mark one domain as Primary, which highlights it on your profile. Expand a domain to add the years you have translated in it and, if you have worked in the field itself, a professional background summary (for example “6 yrs as a registered nurse”).
Experience
Section titled “Experience”Your work history. Each entry has an Organization, a Role / Job title, a start year, an optional end year (leave it blank for a current position), and an optional description.
Reviews
Section titled “Reviews”The profile ends with a reviews section showing a star-rating summary and individual comments.
