Account settings
The Settings page holds everything about your own account: sign-in details, your profile basics, the languages you work in, subscription and usage information, and which notifications you receive. What other users see about you is a separate page — see Your translator profile.
Most sections have their own save button; the page also has Save changes and Discard at the bottom for the profile and language sections.
Change your email
Section titled “Change your email”-
In the Account section, select Edit next to Email.
-
Enter the New Email and your Current Password, then select Send Code.
-
A 6-digit verification code goes to the new address. Enter it on the verification page to complete the change.
Change your password
Section titled “Change your password”-
In the Account section, select Change next to Password.
-
Enter your Current Password and a New Password. The new password must meet the same requirements as at sign-up — at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character, and no character repeated three or more times in a row. A checklist under the field tracks each requirement as you type.
-
Confirm the new password and select Change.
Edit your bio
Section titled “Edit your bio”Select Edit next to Bio to write a short introduction (up to 2,000 characters). The bio is visible on your public profile.
Profile basics
Section titled “Profile basics”The Profile section holds your Name, Surname, and Experience level (intern, junior, mid, senior, lead, or expert). Edit the fields and select Save changes.
Languages
Section titled “Languages”The Languages section lists the languages you work in — the same list you filled in during onboarding.
- Add a language by typing its name or code in Add language.
- Set a Fluency for each language: native, professional, advanced, upper intermediate, intermediate, or basic. Newly added languages start at intermediate.
- Remove a language with the trash icon.
Keep at least one language, and give every language a fluency level before saving.
Subscription and usage
Section titled “Subscription and usage”The Subscription & Billing section shows your subscription status and current period, with a button to manage the subscription or view plans. The Usage this period section shows how many of your included pages you have used this billing period — as a progress bar, a per-project breakdown, and an estimated overage cost, with a warning when you pass 80% of the allowance. For plans and pricing details, see Billing & plans.
Notification preferences
Section titled “Notification preferences”The Notifications section decides which events appear in your notification inbox and which also send an email. Each event has two checkboxes — In-app and Email:
- Offers: new offer received, offer accepted, declined, or countered by the translator, assignment confirmed.
- Deadlines: stage deadline extended, offer deadline changed, deadline too tight, deadline approaching, deadline overdue.
- Workflow: assigned as postreviewer, workflow stage completed, work sent back for rework, your stage is ready to work, project activated.
- Chat: new chat message — with an Email cooldown setting (15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 24 hours, or disabled) so a busy conversation doesn’t flood your inbox.
Select Save preferences to apply. See also Notifications & chat.
